Zero stars if I could, for sure they lie about what they take at the door, there is no accounting in anyway for the door take, and when you look around the room and count the people in there, and then look at the pay out, either the door man or the bar is keeping a huge slice of the all cash (how convenient) door fee. Unless you supply your own door man, don't expect anywhere near the payout that they actually take to make it into your pocket. Having played there more than once and having this experience, it is not a random thing, there will be several hundred people that make it through that room on a crowded weekend night (it s on a popular strip with lots of bars and a walking crowd), and the payout in no way was even close to the amount of money that must have been paid at the door, not even remotely close, even with the opening act getting a previously agreed upon cut. Bands beware or insist on your own door man, or insist on a clicker and some kind of paper trail on the door take.

And as mentioned, the sound system doesn't just suck, it really sucks, and the stage is small and very awkward sized and shaped. It does a lot of irish/roots/alt country/punk stuff and it is a very very serious drinking bar, you will have drunken customers interacting with you for sure, and all the behaviors that go along with really really drunk people. Parking is impossible, it is a very densely populated night life area of Seattle and you will have to park blocks away.

Terrible sound system. Ice pick jabbing high end to do real damage to your ears. One of the main speakers is 10 feet behind the other. Red bricks with a 90 degree corner behind the stage producing terrible audio reflections.
Money sucks. The sound man is hardly ever in the booth when problems arise. And he and the door man mostly likely make more money than you do.
Club does not offer any percentage of the take on liquor. Of course, that is not unusual.

another of my favorite hangs, likely because I live so close. Small stage, big bar, decent sound. Would give 4 stars but musician pay needs improvement.
